Bible Bashing Crap

Hey God gives people gold teeth! It's a miracle! No it's another Christain tirade about how 'we are better than all other religions'.
Worst documentary I have ever seen 2/10

Did you watch the other 9 parts of the documentary? It wasn't just about gold teeth or "being better than other religions".

reply

At least you're not bitter...

Seriously, what religion was "bashed?"

I highly recommend this film.

A terrible, uncritical, unscientific film whose director is so limp-brained he doesn't even bother to come up with alternative explanations. "Gee, I trust these people cuz they have no reason to lie." He says the miraculous is happening all over the world but no sooner has he said this, he's back in Redding California Fundieville. He makes no attempt to bring scientists, sociologists and critical, responsible theologians into his "documentary". Worse, he cites as a positive good that hundreds of Buddhist monks have converted to Christ based on some evango-wacko's charisma. The bias is palpable and its stench is nauseating. A bad film, from concept to execution.

Well, you're off on the "terrible" and "bad" descriptions. "Nauseating" may have applied based on how strongly you seem to feel, but most of us were encouraged by it. There are now 3 other companion documentaries that cover what is happening all over the world, (not just in faith-filled Redding).

The purpose of this film was not to be critical, scientific, or even unbiased. The production values were low - understandable due to the low budget - but for those of us who have experienced the miraculous or were on the fence about it...this movie was unprecedented and refreshing. For those who came in dead set against this (major) aspect of God, they'll likely stay unconvinced and respond as harshly as you. At least there are plenty of 'responsible' theologians to validate those thoughts :)

All the best to you, bastasch. ~Rebel
