7 DÍAS EN LA HABANA is divided in 7 segments. It felt like EL YUMA’s only reason to exist was to show us its twist ending. And that’s not a reason; it’s an excuse. JAM SESSION is overall the best of the group: It has a certain charm, thanks mainly to the characters. Everything in LA TENTACION DE CECILIA is too obvious to resonate with the audience. DIARY OF A BEGINNER is the most visually creative of the group. RITUAL’s social commentary about religious views on homosexuality doesn’t work because it becomes more and more over-the-top by the minute. The movie doesn't end on a high note, because the final segments (DULCE AMARGO and LA FUENTE) are also the worst of the group.

7 DÍAS EN LA HABANA está dividia en 7 segmentos. Se sintió como que la unica razón de la existencia de EL YUMA era mostraron su final sorpresa. Y eso no es una razón; es una excusa. JAM SESSION es en general el mejor del grupo: Tiene un cierto encanto, gracias más que nada a los personajes. Todo en LA TENTACION DE CECILIA es demasiado obvio como para resonar con el público. DIARY OF A BEGINNER es el más creativo del grupo visualmente. El comentario social de RITUAL sobre las posturas religiosas con respecto a la homosexualidad no funciona porque se vuelve más y más exagerado a cada minuto. La película no termina bien, porque los segmentos finales (DULCE AMARGO y LA FUENTE) también son los peores del grupo.

I have to agree with you. 3/10 would have been my rating , too. The movie's segments are mostly boring, hard to endure because of their lack of characters and interesting aspects. It doesn't even work well as a love letter to cuba.

I personally thought EL YUMA was the best filmed, and best told episode, same with JAM SESSION. The rest sucked, even Gaspar Noe's segment was a total let down. After all, the film has nothing to slightly grab the viewers attention for less than 2 minutes. Sad but true.
