How much does a Marine Sargeant make?

Just started watching this and love it. But that's an awful big, and beautiful home the Brodys live in. Does Jessica work, too, and I missed that?

The dude made Billions shorting airline stock after 9/11. The crazy part is that he would choose Claire Danes over Malin Akerman or Morena Baccarin.

reply

He was also an officer in WW2! That sort of money has to add up.

reply

hah hah

reply

Hmmm not sure if you meant it but he was on the tv show Billions?

reply

That's the joke.

Johnny doesn’t understand Location, Location, Location.

The first house is in Madison MD (population 204), which is 2 hours from DC, in nowhere’s land...near a Wildlife Refuge.

The second house, in a Wittman MD is also 2 hours from DC and is just an intersection with a post office.

is a question, the link is real estate listings in the area. 'Map view' shows Washington DC. It's a list starting with the cheapest houses in the area, that doesn't mean I think they lived in one of the cheapest houses in the area. But it does show the OP prices on similar homes in the area. How would you suggest I exclude the houses you mentioned, in the search?

reply

$2 to $2.5 million for that house in that area

If you recall one of the reasons that Brodie got into the whole hero, politics thing was pressure for money. Housing costs are not so in the less urban areas in the East. Not like California.

If you just started watching this, you have a hell of a lot to look forward too. This is by far, the best show in its class of spies and political intrigue. I am watching the end of the last season, season eight playing out this spring. So sad to see this ending. While not perfect this is a brilliant masterpiece and statement about American and global politics ... especially the last 3 seasons.

You are lucky to be able to look forward to them. Enjoy!

I'm pretty familiar with the housing market in the Metro DC area, thanks.

And I have to say, I gave up on this show in Season 2. It stretched credibility too much to think that the intelligence folks would stick with Brodie after all he did, or that they wouldn't just bump of Carrie for being such a nutcase. And I'm sorry but who cheats on Morena for Claire Danes. And I actually really like Danes

If you do not have that emotional connection. I think you have a point, but you have also missed the nuances in favor of superficial stuff. Yes, I agree that his wife was more attractive than Carrie, but Carrie was closer to him in his world, in his understanding, he could talk to Carrie and tell her what was going on and she, nutcase that she might have been understood him. Man, I think you are missing a lot. On the other hand, when I first started watching the show something about it I did not like. I thought it was too gung-ho military, and other criticisms. I let it go for years, and then when I ran out of stuff to stream I ended up going back to it to see if it was as bad as I remembered. I could stream binge-watch several seasons free, and I really liked it. But those were about the first three seasons. I still had my doubts, but later when the show went past Brodie's story it thought it got really good, and now I am watching the last season and think it is the best of its genre by far.
