S2-E08 Carrie's an idiot

Wow... so this episode was ridiculous in the sense that they keep letting Carrie going off on field missions despite knowing how deranged she is.

So she goes to a motel with Brody that Saul knows about, she purposely does that so he knows where she is. Except for some ridiculous reason, when she's having sex with Brody, she is as loud as she can possibly be, despite knowing full well that they will have set up recording devices.

Then she comes back and is all surprised that people are looking at her funny, after the entire field office had to listen to her loud moaning during her conception sex with Brody. My goodness lady, when you know people are listening to you in the motel room that SAUL knows about, keep your mouth quiet during sex.

It gets even crazier, Brody meets with Roya and off they go, and for some reason Quinn lets Carrie tag along in a field team, knowing full well that she can go off the rails at any time and screw up the mission. So they track Brody and Roya out to the field in the middle of nowhere and sure enough, they're all surprised when Carrie goes off the rails and tries to take matters into her own hands.

Then Brody gets into the helicopter and she's all sad "they took him, they took him" oh for crying out loud, his cover is not blown, he's still in with Abu Nazir, and he will give you the details of what happens later. Instead Carrie goes full crazy mode again and thinks it's the end of the world when they pick up Brody, for crying out loud, he's still in with Nazir. If they wanted him dead, they would have killed him in the meadow and buried the body there somewhere.

Dana was also really stupid in this episode too, and her subplot is annoying, and is actually one of the reasons why Brody screws up his first meet with Roya earlier. I think they could have come up with something a little better than a hit & run death with Dana, and Dana being the angry teenage daughter, going out of her way over and over again to try to make things right--despite everyone, even those affected by the hit & run, telling her to keep quiet.

Anyways, rant over. So annoying.

Yeah I just watched this episode. Carrie is getting more and more insufferable, along with Dana. Every single episode Carrie is either crying or going rogue a la Jack Bauer minus the body count. I'm not sure how much of this show I can take. I'll probably just end it with season 2. I hear season 3 is terrible and Dana gets more screen time. That sounds like a nightmare.

Yeah, it is a bit much that Carrie is like "the terrorist whisperer" with psychic powers. It wears thin after a while. Still, I love the show, and especially in the last season that was going so well when it got pretty ridiculous.
