You think Anderson handled it well?

I understand why he was frustrated with the mom that injects botox into her daughter, I also hate it when I know I am right about something and the other person is in the wrong. But he knew what position she stood for when he brought her there, someone with that strong of a position about beauty isn't just going to change their mind because of an interview

"If you don't stand up for something, you'll fall for anything."

NO, he handled it poorly! I thought that lady was nuts, but still, he is the host, & she was his guest, and instead of just making her leave in the middle of the show, he could have waited until commercial break! Not professional of him!

Obviously done for ratings....i had never heard of this show until i read about the story an hour ago.

Everything is subjective, so saying you can "know" someone is in the wrong comes dangerously to suggesting that individuals can know morality objectively. As awful as this lady is, she's just subjectively wrong based on our perspectives; to her and to other people like her, if it turned out to have been true anyway, what she did wouldn't be considered "wrong" and if everyone in the world was like that, well it'd be a depressing world imo but then perspectives would be different and she'd be subjectively "right" based on social norms.

As for Anderson's decision, no, I think that he gave into the same sensationalism and lack of substance that daytime television always seems to give into. If he didn't want to have this conversation then he shouldn't have had her on at all. The show wasn't even Live back then; there's no excuse. Instead of trying to have to probe this he just went all emo and it's just not substantive.
