Ghost Stories For Christmas Boxed Set

While there's still no sign of a UK release, there is now an Australian DVD boxed set featuring ALL of the BBC M.R. James 'ghost story for christmas' adaptations, including the original and 2010 remake versions of 'Whistle...' and the four Christopher Lee readings!

Sadly as this boxed set is Jamesian it doesn't include the Christmas Ghost Story version of Dickens' The Signalman, but you can't have everything.

It is also available from some dealers on ebay right now, but there's little to call between them in terms of price difference.

The UK release is out now from the BFI, and bloomin' lovely it is too :)

M.R. James has become a ghost story tradition for Christmas. I've just seen Michael Hordern's version of 'Whistle and I'll Come To you' for the first time. I couldn't track it down straight away because I didn't realize that it was originally an episode for the 'Omnibus' TV series.
