Raquel makes me sick

She starts out as a cold, hard bitch and it escalates from there! I like Connor and I wish she'd stay away. Anybody with me?

She's not easy to defend, but I really enjoyed watching her, lol. She was an excellent trainwreck. Which episode are you on? Have you seen it all the way through?

I'm on episode 7 of season 2. Last episode Raquel began her new "show", and Abby, Brandon, and Laura had a little...disagreement. Trying not to give anything away for anything else :)

Haha, the Abby, Brandon, and Laura storyline was...interesting. It seems like that's how a dynamic like that would end up playing out, so I found the resolution to all of that to be pretty believable.

I love Connor, and I really wish I got to see more of his character. I agree, he deserved better than Raquel...but I did enjoy the drama she brought him. She knew how to really hurt him and she attacked him pretty much on impulse, and so she was really dangerous for someone as emotionally fragile as he was.

One thing I did like was after they had their argument in season 2, episode 4, when she laid a huge guilt trip on him and basically had him in tears right before his big premiere, there was an unmistakable look of regret on her face right after he left. Some credit is due to the actress, Jewel Staite, but I like that she felt immediately bad for saying a lot of what she did, and knew that she wronged him. I think there was a lot of self loathing with Raquel. She wanted to be the better person and do the right thing, but she was too comfortable in making the wrong decisions.

She was very impulsive and driven by her emotions, which, a lot of the time, were driven by pain.

Yeah, she is awful.
