It just gets on my nerves to see the lame judging by Buddy and his constant barrage of family members.
He just eliminated 3 good contestants and is protecting ones who're making a mess. I guess this is done to sustain the drama of the show. Every show I watch Buddy manages to shock me with his stupid judgement. Keep up the good work!!

I know - like saying his hands were tied in keeping Minerva safe. Especially since he didn't think there was a losing cake.
He should have said that since Minerva didn't do anything on the cake, she wasn't safe.

And didn't they eliminate someone from a winning team last season?
I don't remember it from last year, btu it is possible. They do that all the time on other shows! Heck, on Hell's Kitchen, Ramsay annoys the crap out of me by eliminating people that weren't voted on and weren't that bad (and keeping crappy people that were voted out). Happens ALL the time!
