Real Life Superheroes...

An actual superhero in real life would be the combination of the Punisher and Batman. They would be a vigilante who kills criminals because the justice system has failed them personally. The police would be actively looking to catch them and even set up an FBI task force to bring them to justice.

The "Real Life Superheroes" are just people making the jobs of police officers much more difficult. If someone were truly serious about becoming a hero they wouldn't work within the confines of our judicial system; they would walk the line between street vigilante and hero. The world needs an actual crazy vigilante willing to do anything, including murder. You need to aim the motivation of Bernhard Goetz and the awesomeness of the God Damn Batman into one lone figure in the darkness.

Unfortunately, unlike the comics, an actual heroes lifespan would be measured in days.
What we actually need is for people to stop acting worse than animals and live together in harmony, but the odds of that happening are less than a Kryptonian crashing to Earth in a ship......

I laugh in the face of danger, then I hide until it goes away.

No not really. A well trained Vigilante serial killer could have quite a long crime fighting career.

Id like to see a mixture of Dexter and Two-Face, Crime Scene analyst, who extends and directs the arm and ax of justice, its true justice is blind, so its time we give her a well trained Rottweiler. An watch crime rates drop as missing fugitives disappear.

Based on what you're advocating, then Batman is just bullsh.t. Dexter is what you want and Goetz is the real deal, but he lacked subtlety. Getting good with a .22LR rifle + silencer from a distance may be the key.
