I can't believe that was her dream job.
It's anything but glamorous.
The pay is good sure, but you have to deal with customers like... her. Daily.
And for that amount of stress, the pay would have to be MUCH better for it to be anyone's Dream job seriously... at least in the retail setting.
The starting pay is like $55 per hour (or $110,000 a year). That's a pretty good pay.

Long hours (like 12-15 hours), while on your feet. As in not getting to sit down at all during the whole day. Plus stress and meeting required numbers etc.

I think you missed the point. I think his mother meant that she could have been anything. A ballet dancer/tatoo artist/brain surgeon.
She's just fooling herself, of course. She became a drunken *beep* mother instead.
How can you complain about being a pharmacist when most retail jobs are minimum wage, dealing with the same people?
