The theme song drives me crazy. Extremely annoying. If the singer sang normal - by which I mean louder like a normal professional singer - the whole song would be better. But they're so soft that it is annoying. I have to mute the TV or fast forward through it.

I wish I could find out how and why they picked that song. Even after reading the lyrics, I don't get the connection.
And you're right about that murmurry singing.
Since it's pretty much the same show, they should use the theme song Americas Test Kitchen - an instrumental version of the hymn "Safe Am I in the Hollow of His Hand", using just church bells.
