Walking home from station and why car there? Scene makes no sense

Enjoyed movie, but drunk driving next morning scene made no sense at all. Jason S, was there too walk him out of station, yet no car? So how did he get there? And then they walk to Ferrel car that already has a blower on it, huh? Obviosuly blower was not on car the night before cause he could not have driven car. And thirdly his car would have been impounded. I know its a comedy and not like it real important to the plot, but how you have so many holes in just 1 scene is flat out writing a 5 year old wouldnt have did.
