Wouldn't Wendy have a case against her boss for illegal firing? Boss is jealous of her, her boyfriend kissed her and she verbally abused her all the time - seems like she should have called a lawyer.

Lawyers don't help. They'll twist up the facts and would make her look like the creep. That's why most ppl don't file for wrongful termination bc they'd loose and will say it's her word against hers and they'd make her out to be a liar and then hire others to lie on her.

I have had different experiences. I have worked with people who more than deserved to get fired and once they cried harassment they were given money to shut up and go away.

It would be impossible to prove what happened.

Its a civil case not a criminal one. Its not hard. She can't be the first person to be subjected to her bosses unprofessional behavior.

Pricilla was well-known, established, and respected in the field. A newcomer like Wendy would feel that she wouldn't stand a chance against her and that complying (even with total BS) would get her further in her career than not..
