You can (and probably will) scream racism, but that's about as short/concise/clear of an answer I can get.

Who in their right mind would want to piss in an elevator, set fire to hallways and
intentionally do everything they can to sabotage/destroy where they live is beyond me.

I once lived in a crappy apartment...I had zero interest in vandalizing the place, and
come to think of it: None of the other tenants either.

Yet with some semblance of 'pride' the tenants of Pruitt-Igoe spoke about doing this.

I'm just glad they don't live in my neighborhood. Next time government wants
to build such an 'urban housing' project: Please include prison bars, security guards
and wardens.

Y'know...I highly doubt those in the concentrations camps during WWII...behaved like
the tenants of Pruitt-Igoe.

Fred, that's a cute empty strawman attack. He didn't say residents should
be killed which is what a concentration camp is. If you didn't have anything intelligent to add you didn't have to type anything.

Did you see the movie? At one point a woman talks about how the city put wire frames around the lightbulbs but 'kids will be kids' and would throw water up to destroy the bulbs. WHen cops showed up people threw firebombs and thrash at the police. One woman complained she couldn't have a man in the apartment to keep her welfare. Of course if she got off welfare and lived like an adult she wouldn't have to live by the states rules.

Watch the movie, the tenants destroyer the projects. You can wave your hands and cy 'you're a Nazi' all you want, but the people were given keep housing and they vandalized everything and didn't raise their kids.

Yeah I've lived in nice communities where they don't piss all over the Apt. They don't set fires, sell drugs, start gangs, break lights and elevators on purpose,etc,etc. Unreal what people do with nice things they are given.
