...did Jay take his "crowning" with good grace and in calm spirits .........or did he go completely nuts and stab any of the cult members within striking distance ??
And how would the cult have known how he would react ? given his track record.
So many questions from this film :-)
I think his mind was pretty much gone at that point. He didn't even look all that surprised or upset considering what just happened. He just looked like he had given up and was resigned to his fate. (to me anyway)
shareJust after Jay uncovers the son, the image is frozen, there's a high pitched noise, then the story continues. I think that's the exact moment when Jay's mind snaps. In fact, I'm not even sure if it's Jay anymore after that "break".
It also quite reminds me of the doctor's advice to Jay: "The past is gone. The future is not yet here. There is only ever this moment". The frozen image and the hight pitched noise is "that moment" where Jay's past is gone and he embraces the new future to come.
I'm thinking he either snapped and started trying to stab more cult members on the spot, before they offed him real quick, on the spot.
