talaash resembles which movie?

i think talaash resembles some movie! do you guys think so..

I would not say Talaash is a complete rip off but to me it resembled "Dont Look Now" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069995/) a lot.

Why do you even care? There are more than million movies, of course it will resemble some. The reason maybe why you care is so then you can brag "Oh Bollywood sucks, Talaash is a copy of this movie", I think its bad to just completely copy another film's plot and everything, but getting some ideas from other books or movies and then adding your ideas in them shouldn't be a big deal.
Did this movie Talaash entertain you, was it worthy of your time? that's a more relevant question. For me, it was Totally.

Yup....Ghajini was just some parts of Memento...but talaash copies the whole plot of momento......

That statement is hilariously pathetic.

reply

well said rajatbarman.. i thought it resembles somewhat to Secret Window by Johnny Depp. But then who cares as long as you enjoyed it. Also, i wont be surprised if the Indian public hate it. Flashy movies with dance items aren't just the only way of entertainment.

reply

oh come on .... there's difference between Imaginary Character & Ghost .... Johnny Depp Created that Character in Secret Window. its completely different from Talaash ... Kareena was not aamir's imaginary Character ... :p

reply

Wow, how about a spoiler alert?

you spoiled not one, but 2 movies, thank you!

reply

LOL to the maxxxxxx

None taken, man. Accept and enjoy the crap dished out to you.

Oddly enough, your top movies of 21st century list has, Inception, Dark Knight, Prestige... !!! I mean, I really like your list, most of the movies mentioned there are my favorite as well, but your previous statement implied that you don't think much of Chris Nolan... which was kind of contradicting to your movie taste!

I am just curious.

Talaash borrows from What Lies Beneath with Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer. Some of the ideas are similar and the last scene of Talaash and What Lies Beneath are very similar.

Talaash resembles The Detective (2007) C+ jing taam (original title)Asian movie and quite similar to Sixth Sense!! Hope it answers your question!!

reply

Talaash is similar to a movie I saw this morning.... Hmmmm... trying to recollect... Well, got it - The movie's name is Talaash.

It is an original story and to all those ppl who think otherwise - Junk punch yourself on my behalf

The phrase "Nothing is new under the sun" is actually true. What matter here is it was a watchable, well made movie which is rare in Bollywood with the likes of "Bol Bachan", Golmaal series and other nonsensical movies.

Everything made sense, acting was good and it was a good experience and its been a long time since a good movie is been made in this genre.

reply

I've seen 6th sense & other movies of this genre. But Talaash is not a rip off of any of them. If that's how u compare all most all movies in d world r copies of one another.

reply

The Machinist + SIxth Sense + A bit of L.A COnfidential + WHat Lies Beneath....

reply

Add as much permutation-combination u want & it'll turn out each movie is a copy of another. Then we should stop watching films totally.
