Did anyone like this?

I saw this today. It was pretty good. Some of the dialogue was cheesy and acting wooden, and the cliches got a bit tiresome. But it was a fairly compelling mystery, and I liked the use of flashbacks. And the cinematography was pretty stellar.

Hated it. Very cliche. The cinematography actually wasn't very good. It was too showy.

I really enjoyed it. Was surprised to read what the budget was, something like 30k. Thought it had some really good fresh talent and didn't bore me in the slightest.

So very boring, and i just couldn't like it...

I liked it, thought it was different

i liked it very much. i thought i had the "twist" guessed in the first ten minutes. wrong. i was pleasantly surprised at the end. i would like to see a film by this writer/director with a real budget.

There were a few boring moments but overall I liked it. It had a Virgin Suicides feel to it.

I really enjoyed it as well and was pleasantly surprised at the ending, aside from dragging scenes and some unnecessary bits (like the mother and her affair and the overly friendly neighbor) it was a decent movie.

*Spoilers*

I thought the mother's affair was unnecessary as well.

It seemed like the writers threw that subplot in there in order to create tension surrounding Ana's "vacation," and to give a reason for the mom to rush to her daughters rescue. I don't know, it just didn't feel realistic. Almost married mom finds ex-boyfriend online, and they begin communicating and exchange updates on each others lives. During their long distance reunion, he for whatever reason, finds it important to do a (actually quite thorough) background check on her fiance (one site just led into the next...yeah, okay), and not just Facebook lurking, but has his lawyer buddy conduct an investigation.

It would have made more sense if she had discovered her fiances pervy background herself- maybe she could have stumbled across it online, or a prior victim saw a family photo...I don't know, but it could have been done better.

Some of the dialogue was a little cliche and "cheesy," but there were also parts of the script that seemed very natural and realistic. Overall, it was a decent film, but it had the potential to be much better.
