Mystery solved. Ending is not truthful.

I dont see why the film ends with the claim that the Toynbee mystery lives on. I feel like they pretty much solved the mystery? They not only deciphered what the message means, but they unraveled why and how the tiler came to create these tiles messages and identified the tiler. Thats a pretty successful unraveling of this mystery in my book.

Even if the tiler came forward and allowed himself to be interviewed which yes would be a fasinating thing, but also becasue the guy himself seems like a rare and fascinating guy. However its not really necessary, by itself the film does already solve the mystery. Its a great film especially for anyone who has been aware of this mystery for years and always wondered about it. Well here its all laid out in a logical and intriguing way. To be honest Im glad Justin stopped his further insistence on pursuing this guy and just respected his right to privacy. He perhaps to this day is making his tiles and making his message but now we know what they mean largely.

I think they found a perfect balance at the end: having a cake and eat it too. Mystery was basically solved in a satisfying way while still maintaining some of the intrigue about the ideas and mind of the reclusive man behind all this.

And it was totally respectable and appropriate move for not pursuing the matter further or harassing the guy, just let the mystery be. The whole documentary ended with surprisingly emotional closure. I was totally intrigued by the film and at the end, even moved by it. Really liked this one.
