Youtube clips...
Even with a limited release, mainstream documentaries shouldn't use youtube clips of newscasts when better footage is readily available. To see a choppy standard definition video embed in a documentary is beyond bad. Not only does it take away from the viewing experience, it cheapens the entire film. I know people love final cut and imovie, but please, simply ask the media outlet (NBC, Viacom) for clips. I'm sure they'd be glad to give you at least something better than an internet conversion.
As far as the film itself, it was great propaganda for the New York Times to prove that they are still relevant. Personally, I think they SHOULD start to print high quality pornography (glossy magazine paper would be best) to stay in business. You could put it in the Men's Health section along with masturbatory tips.
