Whats Madeas stance on religion?

One of the scene she says "See something I dont understand about you christians.."
it was when she was saying to Shirley shes gonna get all the family together

Does she not believe in god?

reply

Obviously not, and I don't blame her (or Tyler Perry).

reply

@Poizon-4 Lol oh wow. All of Tyler Perry's plays revolve around religion. You'd have to actually watch them to understand. Anyone who denies that is stupidly delusional. Tyler Perry's tv shows, movies, plays, are all based around Christianity and the black community.

reply

poizon-4:

The only things obvious are your ignorance about Tyler Perry's strong Christian background and the religious influences and history of the Black stageplay.

Take you whiteboy internet atheist bulls--t somewhere else.

reply

Lmao. No. Madea definitely believes in God. You have to watch the plays to understand the dynamics of her character. She's not a religious person. She doesn't call herself or identity with Christians. But she is a Christian herself. She believes in Jesus Christ. She is just extremely liberal when it comes to her own faith.

reply

I didn't know you had to be a Christian to believe in God..
In fact I'm pretty sure God has nothing whatsoever to do with the Bible or Christianity.

reply

What Madea was saying was "you perceived christians" She was talking about how some christians think by acting a certain way, it makes them christians, and going outside of those parameters in any way for any reason would mean that they would not be christians anymore.
