Spraying pepperspray into there eyes + Tree farm

That was just horrific how can any civilized society spray and rub pepperspray into someones eyes especially when they were just sitting there that was just horrible.

One thing I don't get is they were saying they were fine with small scale logging but then burned down a tree farm, if they can create a tree farm from genetically engineered trees which can make them grow faster etc. it means they would no longer have to cut down the old-growth forests so why burn them down? retarded.

reply

Genetically ingenered trees which grow faster sound good in theory but in practice anything can happen. GM trees could pollute other plants, for instance. Humans still don't know enough about GM crops to use them so liberally, and that makes me nervous, quite frankly.

Also the sheer ugliness of it. That's not the wild, thats regimented monotony.

reply

True, it looks ugly.

Also, I just remembered a story I read 5-6 years ago (maybe more) on a web page called Media Cover-up which published accounts of 20 award-winning journalists whose reports were hushed up by the corporate media.

One of those 20 stories was about GM crops. A journalist (maybe Jane Akre from Fox news, but I'm not sure anymore, it was a long time ago) came into posession of internal memos from Monsanto (I think). Doesn't matter really. What matters is that the memo stated that the company plans to spread GM crops far and wide and when people realise what's going on, it won't matter cause it will be too late to do anything about it. That's their plan in essence.

reply

If they didn't want to inconvinienced with a little pepper in the eye, maybe they shouldn't have been selfishly breaking the law. They went easy on them.

reply

Sorry but the media cover-up never happened.
