The Patton episode

They failed to address a lot of other problems Patton was "causing" after the war. They also failed to address the other attempts on Patton's life. I find it laughable that early on in the episode they dismissed the idea that the U.S. government could have been responsible for Patton's death purely because they didn't want to believe it. Then they quickly looked at the Russians. The last guy interviewed offered no evidence to back his claims but they decided to go with his version anyways.

They summed up that Americans have a hard time believing that Patton could have died from injuries sustained in a low-speed wreck because it doesn't suit the perception of the man. All the while, the Decoded team refused to believe he was assassinated by the OSS because it would crush their precious views of the U.S. Hypocritical...eh?

I enjoy the show but I take it with a grain of salt. Meltzer and his crew are in the entertainment business. The actual "truth" matters little to them.

Two things must happen to this series to give it some teeth. First, split up the team ... Go forth and find out the information separately and come back together at the end to argue each of their conclusion. More importantly, add a fourth member who is an antagonist - someone who would look at the extreme possibilities and challenge the team's conclusions.
