The Police "audition".

I enjoyed the film overall. Alan Rickman was in excellent form and the overall tone and style somehow reminded me of Amerian Splendor.

Possible spoiler.

My biggest gripe though was about the way The Police were represented in the end of the film. They never auditioned at CBGB. The gig was lined up already, and it was actually the first gig The Police played in the US. They took a Lakers Airways flight from the UK straight to NYC and as soon as they got off the plane they were taken to CBGB. They went in and played almost immediately.

I realize the focus was on Sting in the film, but they didn't even have anyone that remotely resembled Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. Petty thing to complain about, but in these type of films (biopic) they sometimes seem to foul up facts, anachronistic details, and offer up uninspired casting choices.

Again, I understand minute details sometimes take a backseat to all the other considerations that go into making a film. But this is the internet. Hear me roar.

They're in the yard not too far from the car
