This movie got a lot of hate...but I dug it.

I realize it's far from historically accurate but strictly as a film, it was entertaining enough. I just wish the Ramones had gotten more screen time but from what I gather, no one in their camp was willing to co-operate.

I was there at the time and knew the Ramones. Love this film. Much is taken from the book Just Kill Me, which is a sacred and accurate account of the people and places. People need to get over yhe gilm's artistic license and budget constaints. I takes me back.

This film is a whole lot of fun, and the comic-book transitions work to its advantage. As with a lot of music films, it lags a big when there's no music, but that's to be expected because the music is so good. 8/10 stars from me.

I hated the comic book part of it.

Are you doing a movie about the club, or about the comic, or what?

Seemed like the film-makers were clueless.

And, oh, why get a guy who looks NOTHING like Lou Reed to play him?

Personally, I cannot take more than 5 minutes of this movie at a time. Couldn't find any of the characters to be remotely believable. Nor the writing but oh well, we are all different.
