Renovations as much as 300k, and probably averaging 50-100k every single episode. There's no way sponsorship covers that cost only because Mike isn't a salesman the way say.. Jon Taffer is on Bar Rescue. So.. Where the hell is all the money coming from?
shareI was wondering that myself... I suppose it could be a combo between sponsors and the production company. It would still be cheaper than producing a 1 hour scripted show, not that this isn't scripted. They probably get some decent tax incentives as well.
The bigger issue is how much of his monster renovations are actually necessary vs. purely for viewer entertainment. I suspect if any contractor tried to pull this it wouldn't go down very well. That's why they have to do it all for free...
