Well..maybe I'm a sap for any period drama. But I actually liked it!

True, it wasn't Schindler's List, but it was entertaining. I actually enjoyed the tension btn whether she was going to choose Gad or Lord Cameron. It'd been a while since I saw the previous one so at first I thought there was a possibility she'd go w/ this new guy. Anyways, I love that time period so I enjoyed seeing the costumes, the settings, etc. I love the guy who plays her grandpa too (i.e. Horatio Hornblower). I thought the actress playing Tilly actually did a good job. I didn't like the Lord Cameron bloke, but that was more b/c of his personality than acting. Only weak link for me was his mother, who's acting was more stage-like than the rest. My only wish was that they'd expanded on everything, had multiple plot lines going, like in BBC dramas. I'd actually really like it if they made it into a TV show or mini-series, but again...maybe I'm just a sap for period drama.

I love period as well but this was so inaccurate it was hard to watch.

I did enjoy the costuming.

Don't feel like you're alone! I liked it, too. Although I have to confess it was mainly because Tilly (Catherine Steadman) is so easy on the eye! Bit surprised she didn't choose the Irish earl in the end, because I thought the whole movie was being set up just for that. He was exciting, a rogue. He would have made her laugh, unlike the rather mannerly Gad who turned up half-way through. He will make a very boring husband, I'm sure.

I liked it too. I actually prefer this to teh Thanksgiving one, which I did enjoy but found a bit too twee in the manner of Little House of the Prairie or American Girls films.
