So the brothers don't have to pay out the insurance policy but the sisters also don't go to jail? I'm confused...Matthias burned all the possible evidence and then the sisters just went skinny dipping...
Did they agree to some sort of deal where he won't tell on them if Goedele doesn't request the payout? Can she even refuse a payout?

The sisters were only under suspicion from the Dewitt Brothers rather than the police, therefore if they accept the sisters version of events the insurance policy is null and void, meaning the brothers don't have to find money they don't have and the sisters are no longer being investigated. Win-win.
Yep, it was never about the money, so everyone's happy...
My question is about Pastis the rat at the end though - it seemed to drink the (poisoned?) Coke but didn't die. Does that mean Bekka got the glasses mixed up - or is it a little nod to the fact that The Prick survived time and time again?
