Recommend me similar films

I liked this film. I really liked this film.

Does anyone have any recommendations, for other films I would enjoy considering I enjoyed this one.

If you haven't seen Bubba Ho Tep, that would be a good place to start. Army of Darkness would be a good choice as well.

reply

I hated Bubba Ho-Tep. Boring and pointless IMHO.

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

reply

i enjoyed bubba ho tep, but absolutely loathe Army of Darkness. Evil Dead II is much better and probably IMO closer in spirit to JDATE.

Cronenberg's "Naked Lunch", "Videodrome " and "Existenz ".

Cronenberg has some complete mind-trips on his resume...I would also add to that list the film "Dead Ringers", his earlier stuff is awesome too, The Brood, Shivers, Rabid and such though it isn't quite as "off the wall" as some of his mid-career stuff. Actually, if you like David you should seek out the movie "Antiviral" by his son, Brandon Cronenberg...total chip off the old block, complete body horror stuff.

^^^ ditto these, although they're more serious but still excellent.

Wow Videodrome does look the same. but DAMN that is old..

Like really.. really old.

That's the oldest thing I have ever seen.

OLD.

Drop acid and watch Family Guy - it would make about as much sense.

I prefer Coscarelli's other films, particularly Phantasm, Kenny & Co and Bubba Ho-Tep.

Ask democrats for a logical response; first they repeat themselves for a while then they accuse you of doing what they did.

Ask Americans to keep politics out of something and they will get offended and accuse you of partisanism.

Ask people to pay attention to what's going on in the world and they make inane and dismissive judgments.

Idiot troll. People like you are so gross. Trolling message boards begging for someone to enter into a political debate with you. Try leaving your mom's basement a few times a week. Maybe then you'll be less bored and won't have to be so pathetic.

I came here looking for movie recommendations, not museum relics. Please don't ever do that again.

I too kept thinking of NAKED LUNCH. You have to watch it if you like this.

Enter The Void (at least the drug aspect)

Odd Thomas. It has many points of similarity. Pretty good film, too.

Thank you. I had never heard of this and I know I'll love it!

For my rec's, I also recommend Phantasm (my personal favorite), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (my second favorite), and Trainspotting (great flick with phenomenal acting from Ewan McGregor and the rest of the cast).

reply

Oh yesss! Phantasm!

reply

My pitch of the film, having seen it, would be "Ghostbusters" meets "Buckaroo Banzai" meets "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure".

Admittedly I'm basing this on the trailer for John dies at the end...

the film Potpourri is about a new drug that turns people into zombies with time travel, and alternate dimensions.

It's also a christmas movie kind like gremlins was and it has some wonderful songs.

Sort of reminded me of Kaboom and Donnie Darko
