If she wasnt American and pretty, she'd still be in jail.

Her parents being able to spend over a million dollars on defence probably didnt hurt either.

She was in Jail to being with because the Italian Legal system is ridiculously corrupt.

I love it when americans claim that other countrys legal systems are corrupt, how many innocent people do you keep on death row over there?

reply

Our system is not perfect. it makes mistakes. But in America and probably the UK she would never have come to trial on such rediculous evidence. She would most probably have never been charged. The investigation would not have been so thoroughly corrupted. I think I like our system better.

Check out the doccumentary "witch hunt" or the interrogation of michael Crowe.

reply

Yes she would have come to trial and indeed would have been convicted in the US. Scott Peterson for example was was convicted on far less evidence and suspects are convicted on less evidence all the time in the US and UK. It would be doubtful if she'd have even been given an appeal in the US either, whereas in Italy her appeal was automatic and then she was allowed an automatic second appeal. In the US she'd probably have gotten life, the needle if in Florida or Texas.
The Italian system is actually far more pro defendant than the US system. It's one of the reasons their trials tend to drag on.

"Hey, look at that! She's not crazy, she's being chased by a cheetah!"

reply

I am italian, and as we all have seen the process the only ridiculous thing is that Miss Knox is free.

reply

why is it ridiculous for an innocent person to be free?

Finally!!! She is guilty I knew it from the beginning, she most likely helped or stood back and watch, either way she was involved and needs to go to jail! For GOOD! Before she kills someone else!

reply

And the Americanone isnt?

American one comes down to how much money you have.

reply

In America it comes down to real evidence. still better.

personally, without any evidence to back up such a claim but I'm glad we no longer convict people on gut feelings...except in Italy

if they killed her then how the *beep* did they clean all over there dna and fingerprints and footprints up yet leave rudy guedes get a *beep* life
it would be impossible for them to cleane up and leave his dna and all the evidence that put him at the crime.
your a moron seriously read about the case before talking about *beep* you know nothing about

reply

Just watch mystery shows or they could look up online how to clean up.. its not that hard! Learn how to spell first!!

reply

the thing you seem unable to understand is that if she did anything to clean up her own DNA she would also clean up Rudy's DNA at the same time. His was there. Her's was not. so it follows she was not there.

guedes dna was all over the place his fingerprints and his footprints in her blood but nothing tieing ak and rs to the crime scene

reply

What a ridiculous statement. Her convinction was a mischarage of justice.

If she weren't American and pretty, I doubt she would have been sent to jail in the first place. It was the lack of evidence that got her out.

that is what is even more frightening. Amanda Knox is the subject of a political witch hunt (literally) I'm surprised they did not subject her to trial by pricking. That seem to be where their mentality is. Right now Italy is not my favorite place in the world.

Against stupidity the gods themselves contend in vain (Isaac Asimov)

A political witch hunt?
You have any proof or credible basis for this? Can you explain how two automatic appeals are akin to a witch hunt, political or otherwise?
Seems to me her supporters have nothing but baseless innuendo with some thinly veiled xenophobia to boot. I suspect the innuendo is for that upcoming pesky extradition battle which Knox is certain to lose, as the evidence against her is very strong indeed.

they can't put a murder weapon in her hand, they can't place her at the scene of the crime, they have no motive. for conviction these elements must be established. they have not been. any other sup[posed evidence is meaningless without these three elements.

"its the way tabloids work, especially in the States"

True though from what I can see the tabloids in Italy and Britain are far worse than here in the states.

1. to show americans they arent a superior people and cant bully people.
2. to show americans that being american isnt an automatic badge of superiority.

Shes just some wasp slag.

America owes Italy for those Italians killed when american aurforce men flew a plane too low and severed the cable on the italians cable car.

Eye for an eye.

Just STFU--what does one case have to do with the other? So an innocent woman should go to jail for somebody's else crime? That's basically what you''re saying? How ignorant, knee-jerk, and stupid of you. Grow the hell up, for one thing. FYI, a lot of Americans don't even think like that, so quit stereotyping ALL of us and making assumptions. Only some Americans think like that, and those same Americans piss us other Americans who don't think like that off, too. So get off your high horse and quit ranting hateful bull****.

reply

Except she's truly guilty as sin, as over 19 judges & two separate juries viewing the evidence, 10,000 pages of said evidence, witness testimony both lay and expert and an upheld conviction shows.
So she's not going to jail for someone else crime, her dna was on the handle of the murder weapon which also yielded the dna of the murder victim on the blade.
She also lied repeatedly, changed her alibis several times and falsely blamed her innocent boss for her crime as well as leaving him in prison for two weeks after blaming him, ruining his life in the process.
She did it and no amount of false howling that she's innocent is gonna change that, nor is it relevant now anyway as the evidence phase is over at this point in the process. Only an unfair trial, rights denied, legally unsound reasoning on Nencini's part or procedural errors will make her appeal in any way successful and that's not gonna happen as none of the criteria mentioned happened at Knox's trial.

Oh and I've no beef with Americans btw and quite like you guys as a demographic fwtw. But you personally are harbouring some misconceptions about this case, as Knox is about as innocent as OJ & Casey.

they can't put a murder weapon in her hand. they can't place her at the scene of the crime. they have no motive. they have no case. this case was never about truth and justice. it was politics and hate. nothing more.
