Stay away from this piece of $hit! The acting, the way it's shot, the incredibly boring and full of holes plot, the scenery, the action scenes - it's all a JOKE. Many tiny-budget war films do a better job. The only good part about this historic film is, brace yourselves, the 3D effect. So we know what 90% of the money was spent on.

The one I saw was superbly shot and designed, the acting (certainly for a non-Polish speaker like me) seemed perfectly fine, the battle scenes were impressively mounted and refreshingly lacking in obvious CGI. For a non-Pole the patriotism might be a touch excessive, but was less so than in many US war films.
I was intrigued enough to come here to look up some of the other work of the director and director of photography.
(Incidentally, 3D is not necessarily a large proportion of the budget of an averagely budgeted film.)
