Who knows of this writer, Heidi Thomas anyway? Doesn't look like she has any meaningful experience (and Cranford hardly qualifies)! One of the cast members has to ask his father for a favour if any hope is still alive for this series.

I would just mention that Heidi Thomas has also adapted the hit Sunday night series, Call the Midwife. It seems she is certainly a talented writer.
