Am I the only one....

...who thought that tonights episode was one of the worst things to be shown on television?

The music was appaling, the direction hopeless, the acting has lost any sense of reality. Then there was the decision to introduce more historical figures without much point, they were badly drawn and pointless. I also thought the storylines about the refugees and about Mrs Thackeray were patronising and badly written which brings me onto the writer.
Heidi Thomas has clearly spread herself too thin. Call the Midwife was one very good show (her best IMHO) but this is something quite distant from that.
And I must finish off by repeating that the Music was indescribably misused and just plain bad.
