Did Rachel die of
fear? It wasn't clear to me how one minute she was vigorously protesting Nazis, then she spies lady Percy collaborating, which causes her death?
shareI think it was a severe asthma attack. She was allergic to dust when cleaning up. All the stress probably aggravated it.
shareAgree with BritishFilms1. She has asthma. She was upset enough when seeing Harris Spargo (the driver) wore the Nazi uniform at the servant dining table. Earlier in the episode there are scenes showing that Rachel is responsible for dressing Lady Persie, and that they are friendly to each other (when Lady Persie came home late and they met on the staircase). My thought is that when Rachel saw Lady Persie dressed in the shop after the riot, she was greatly disturbed and probably felted betrayed, which triggered the severe asthma attack.
