Language GOOFS!

There is something seriously wrong with this movie. I hear them speak Thai and Khmer (Cambodian). They are neighboring countries but do not speak the same language. That is so stupid. The scene when the tank was shooting at the building, it's clearly Khmer and he said "you can not run from us, we will shoot to kill".

So??!! I'm sure the 99.99% Non-Cambodians who watch this film give a Rats-ass.

Are you angry at something? Did your mother not breast fed you as a baby? You clearly missed the point, moron.

Don't get hurt kid. I'm not your daddy, I'll beat you senseless.

reply

Ok so people in other countries don't speak dual languages.

In some areas of China they speak Mandarin and Cantonese.

reply

You can't compare China to Cambodia. Cambodians speak Khmer, it's not shared with any other languages. This movie had them speaking multiple languages. China is a country with dual languages, what does that have to do with Cambodia who doesn't have dual languages?

reply

Thank you. This movie is obviously unwatchable, due to the confusion of the production crew as to the difference between one Southeast Asian language and another.

Thank you for pointing this out.

How many times does it have to be said? This movie depicts a fictional country. If you want to call it Cambodia or Thailand so be it but not once did it say they were in either. They could be speaking Finnish and I would still care less.

reply

They did tell you where they were. See it in the link...

It's just a movie. Not based on anything real

I think the vast majority of people who watch this movie won't know the difference so I don't really think its that big of a deal.

Exactly.

This movie takes place in a purely fictional country. Its inhabitants speak whatever fictional languages - or blends of existing languages - the writers want them to. It's fictional.
