Does anyone know what kind of cameras they used for POV filming?

It looked like it was Drift cameras of some sort, but wanted to ask if anyone knew. I thought it was a great use of cameras/camera positions/timelapse, etc.

Didn't saw the movie yet but most of the time they use Go Pro for POV shoot.

"Oh lord, Do we have the strength to carry on this task in one night? Or are we just jerking off."

I don't know if this helps but my husband is a fireman and says that they have special cameras that get set up on the helmet.

We used Contour HD cameras, and they were a sponsor. We chose them over GoPro, which is a question we get a lot, because GoPros are very ostentatious; they're big and they're silver and they're square. The Contours are sleek and black, and they just fit well with the firefighters helmets — the camera looked just like a flashlight. The cameras weren't heat-rated; we tried to bake a couple before we shot to see what they'd do in heat. We didn't get much reaction from that, so we didn't know how they'd hold up. But they were fine. We melted on/off buttons, and had to change out smokey lenses, but they all still worked beautifully. Frankly, much better look and resolution than we'd seen from GoPro. The firefighters were generally type A personalities and they wanted to get the best shots, so after a fire, we'd come back to the station and they'd want us to download the footage and look at dailies, and they'd sit there and critique their performance as cameraman. Of course, we were always saying, "You guys, don't worry about the cameras. You fight the fires, we'll keep the cameras," but they were on their game in terms of being cameramen. Just saw that you'd posted this, sorry you had to wait for an answer! If you google BURN Putnam and Contour HD, you'll see a bunch of articles where we talk about the Contours.
