Saw Big Guns in Florida

I attended the premiere of Big Guns in Boca Raton, Florida at the first Downtown Boca Film Festival.

It was extremely funny from beginning to end, far surpassing the laughs found in top-budget Hollywood comedies in many years.

Writer-director-star Chris McDonnell is a real talent to watch for, as he constructs funny lines, scenes, situations and characters.

The main character, McDick, is a clueless, inept, chaunvinistic, selfish, cowardly cop-turned-PI, who constantly puts his two nice sidekicks in danger, while trying to thwart a crazy villainess played (wonderfully) by MadTV's Mo Collins.

I saw this with both my father and sister, and we are ready for sequels, a TV series, and more original output from McDonnell.
