Starring Smithville as Smithville

In the preview I noticed that a police car was clearly marked Smithville Police Department. So often stories like this are set in "North Willow" or some other generic, fictional town. It's interesting that this is actually set where it was filmed. It's the same town where much of THE TREE OF LIFE was filmed.

This could be very interesting.

Wasn't "Hope Floats" set/filmed here too? I remember the town being called Smithville and the high school mascot and colors being the Tigers/black and orange.

Yes "Hope Floats" was set and filmed in Smithville as well and the mascot and colors in the movie are also the tigers and orange and black just like in the real town
