how could anybody miss that? the sister plot was the the driving force behind Travis and freinds.


Travis's sister dies in her sleep. Young Travis, sees sister take last breath while a spirit looms over her wispering things. He thinks a ghost killed her.
NOBODY BELIEVES HIM. (key1) he goes all sad and dont give a fu@# about anything mode, due to this he makes freinds who dont give a F neither.(key 2) he tells about his sister, nobody beleives, 1 freind picks on him about it.(key 3) he tells about ghost @ Eli's house so they check it out and wind up going in because of key 1,2 and 3.

Later on when they pull the bullet out of him and the nurse says "its not your fault" He flashbacks to his sister, then realizes it was his sister telling him it's not his fault it was her time. The ghost he saw was his sister's spirit as it was leaving her body. gives him enough confidence to go back and be a hero.

if his sister never died he would have been more cheerfull person, good relations with mother, different freinds to hang with, ghost would not have been in his thoughts when he sees Eli with rosemary.
he would not have been involved. danny, abby and brian would never have been interested in Eli's house and wouldn't be involved.


understand? lol this is one of those could have been "greatest movie of all time" but was cut short by the acting. personally i thought the writing was suberb. best story in a movie since.....wow. a really long time.

problem is it makes you think abit. something people dont know how to do with movies anymore due to the crappy cgi filled, 40 min of running/chase footage, 25min of explosions, with about 10min to explain an elaborate plot that could have been good but had to be watered down to fit in with all the "action". Oh and dont forget random usless nudity and sex.
