Shot in the Shoulder = Death?

No witnesses?!? I've seen about 30 minutes and I'm just in awe! Does she NOT realize that a shoulder wound is almost certainly going to be NOT FATAL?

The opening action scene: At least two of the guys went down by shoulder wounds. Naturally, these grievous wounds were fatal. Right? Well, going on that assumption, she executes the last guy, saying "No witness" and takes the security tape. Um... maybe shot those guys again to be sure? Nah. She doesn't.

The scene at the lake: She takes her time, lines up her shot... and SHOOTS HIM IN THE SHOULDER! Then, deciding that surely that shoulder wound must have killed him, proceeds to decide that the dog could identify her and kills it, saying "No witnesses." Sure... the dog could have identified the disguised sniper... from across the lake. Yeah...

I really like the director, but I just can't watch more of this thing. :-<
