Interesting backbone to this documentary, but severely lacking in production value. My apologies to the filmmakers but I have simply chosen this recent Netflix release as an example of their faulty rating system. IMDB is even worse in this regard. Skewed internet ratings are a very real thing that seriously needs to be examined. Otherwise, throw all great film critics for the last 50 years out to the trash bin. This was a good concept, but poorly executed in terms of production quality. Potential was simply lost and this in no way deserves a 7.2 rating! I see great films in the 6's and horrible films in the 8's. Remember "grades" in high school? These meant something because they were based on a standard. We need this standard back in internet distribution ratings or we are doomed to watching Japanese anime for the rest of our lives. Sorry. Rant over. To the filmmakers, thanks for making this movie. It was time well spent on the watching. Just wish it was crafted a little better.

Ha ha, no they weren't. The pretty cheerleaders and the meathead jocks were guaranteed good grades not because they were smarter or because their essays were well-written, but based on their rank in the arbitrary pecking order of high school and its arbitrary selective enforcement of standards. The "popular" kids could throw raging keggers that required the entire police department to break up and they wouldn't even be arrested or face any school discipline or any kind, but some goth kid with a joint off school grounds might get expelled over it. And it only gets worse after high school. No matter where you look in society, standards are mostly an illusion. They don't exist.
