I was hesitant at first but watched it and loved it. The film is awesome. The first half of the film mainly depicts the father struggling with what is happening to him and then you find out hes being taken over by an ancient demon that feeds on children only. Wish they would release it in the United States

shareIt's good, but it doesn't have much competition; "It" was a TV-movie, and "Killer Klowns" is a comedy... This is the only self-contained clown horror movie I can think of...

First and foremost, we mustn't pick on Victor Salva! He's made some wonderful movies, despite his police record. Second of all, why no mention of "Amusement?" Not entirely a "killer clown" movie; and not without its' logistical issues, but it does have a couple of very creepy moments involving a clown. Please check this movie out if you're into this sort of thing. I guarantee you will never forget, one particular scene, once you've watched it.

Stiches was a good clown movie,the murders are original and pretty cool!
and of course IT and Killer Klowns From Outer Space (a cult classic imo)
Killer Klowns From Outer Space is way more entertaining than this, and IT had a way more effective clown in Tim Curry.
sharePennywise is and always will be the godfather of scary movie clowns. It would be very difficult for another actor to bring more menace and character to their clown villain. IT was not particularly good as a screen adaptation of the novel; cheesy dialogue, 2nd rate acting for the most part, low budget, skipped or watered down large chunks of the novel...however Curry's performance alone rose it from obscurity to horror fame.
I enjoyed this and there has been good some good clown films, but Killer Klowns from Outer Space still the best IMO
