A good rags to riches story but poorly presented. First of all, there are three different actors portraying the same man. We jump from 1943 to 1955 with a completely different set of actors that had me wondering if the girl was the same girl. The black lawyers leaves to spend Christmas with his family, gets in an auto accident and is in the hospital. Where is his family? They don't bother to visit him in the hospital? Why is the lead character in a bed in the hospital next to the black lawyer?

His family werent with him because his wife died and he didnt remarry and his elderley mother was in a nursing home .Red was in the next bed because he had just donated a kidney to his friend
