A brutal and nasty look at retribution.

It took me a while to work out what was going on and some of the first scenes made no sense, but the movie, all of a sudden, started to portray the love of a simple man for an intellectually impaired girl and the battle against exploitation and cruelty directed at them by persons who should have been protecting them. Steve McQueen was in a similar scenario in 'Nevada Smith' a;though this movie was much more visually brutal.
I liked the acting and the flow of the movie although it would not be for the squeamish.
