The only thing wrong with this series....

I was going to do a short review of this series, but it seems that the four existing reviewers have summed it all up pretty well.

Instead, I will just open up the first discussion on this board, and mention that I agree with a couple of them, in that this is a quite informative documentary and seems to be very well researched and re-enacted.

My only real gripe about it is that I find the presenter, Mr Miles, to be almost completely unwatchable. Just his appearance on the screen makes me want to look away. He reminds me of a spoiled kid, who has lost his favourite toy to someone else, and has a very large chip on his shoulder. Additionally, and (for me) most annoying is the fact that he does not seem to be even able to hold his head up straight while talking to the camera.

Apart from him though, it's quite good.


(It could have been handled much better by John Romer, or David Dimbleby, or even the extremely charismatic Neil Oliver.)
