I saw this at the Kansas City Gay/Lesbian film Festival over the weekend. It is a refreshing, warm movie about friendship, the things that stress people who care about each other, and how lives can become complicated in ways that cause hurt, growth and reconciliation. Tyler Ross is a talented and attractive actor.
Some unimaginative people have compared this film with HAROLD AND MAUDE. Aside from two characters with disparate ages, it is NOTHING like H&M, which I've always found self-indulgently bleak, nasty and mean-spirited.
TR's double exposure here and in THE WISE KIDS should move him along to other good things.
