Was anybody else bothered by this?
I am sometimes completely perplexed by characters who seem to live lifestyles beyond their means.
I had heard Chicago is an expensive place in which to live. I can understand Nate having had his own apartment ... maybe a parent was well-to-do ... but Margaret? Then she shows up in a car. Granted, by the age of 52 she might have been able to amass those things, but it still seemed she was well fixed for someone working in a coffee shop.
Also, when ... spoiler alert ... Nate pointed the police officer to James and his collection of under-age porn, I felt that was a bit out of character for Nate. That could have landed James in a lot of hot water. Was that not something for which James could be arrested, or are we to assume he didn't really have any underage porn and Nate was just trying to make trouble for him, or that the officer wouldn't really follow up? It did elicit the one hoot from me ... the movie was quietly funny, not laugh-out-loud funny to me. But Nate didn't seem the type to exact such retribution.
