Horrible movie

I really have no idea how Chinese movies have fallen so behind. I used to enjoy Chinese action flicks until they made it cheesy, oversaturated with CGI, and the 100th retelling of the same stories (Japanese takeover, Bruce Lee, etc.). Chinese romance used to have a charm about it that have since gone away. This movie was both unbelievable and frustrating.

I felt no compassion for the lead actress whatsoever. She came off as both materialistic, overly emotional, and bi-polar. The term love is thrown around like she's a 12 year old finding her first crush. That scene where the 3 girls walked into the restaurant and her boss couldn't resist the temptation to look was lame. It's really hard to like a movie where you can't find a character to cheer for.

If you're looking for some GOOD Chinese movies go check out Jia Zhangke and Wang Xiaoshuai. That's where the good stuff's at. It's more art-house cinema per say, but definitely worth the watch!

let's get lost.

I agree, I'm a Johnny To fan, but this was horrible. I felt disgusted by the materialistic nature behind the movie, maybe it's the sign of time changing? Is China nowadays all about showing money and luxury? Because that's what I got from this movie. All the three main characters were pathetic and their actions were unbelievable. Subpar cheesy writing.

Thank god there are still directors like Jia ZhangKe who shows what humans are about.
