How does the guy go from making three of the most gritty, realistic snuff-esque films (however, getting worse in progressive order) and The Redsin Tower (which was a bad film but was stylistically impressive) to this piece of trash.

From it's slow pacing (I enjoy slow pacing in good movies), it's ham-fisted attempt at social commentary, it's wooden acting, too it's anti climactic finale, this is a thing to be avoided.

It's almost as if his films are getting worse with each progressive effort.

August Underground > August Underground's Mordum > August Underground's Penance > The Redsin Tower > Maskhead > this abortion.

Also, I realize Redsin came out after Penance. *uck your chronology.

Note: this is not me saying I dislike the movie because it's not gore porn ala August Underground. Nothing could be further from the truth as stated ^ right up there. I add this review because imdb users on the whole are moronic trolls who will defend a film to the death if they like it with comments like "ur retarded, this movi3 was boss". So frigg off if you don't have anything constructive to say.

Also, the sound effects were abysmally edited. The visuals looked overtly washed out and the music (especially when he starts attacking) is horribly chosen. Rising action demands rising music. Instead Vogel opted to keep the mid tempo creepy music flowing which completely cancelled out any sense of danger in the scene.

The plot sounded interesting to me compared to the AU trilogy.

Definitely better than the AU trilogy. Haven't seen Redsin nor Maskhead (yet).

Nor that other one I fergit the name of...
