The two pickers from up north

Is it me are do these guys have no idea what anything is worth. Of all the shows they have been on I think maybe once or twice did they make a profit. The show with the motorized bar stool they bought for $1400 and thought would sell for #2800+ showed just how out of touch they are. I saw that stool and before they said what they wanted for it I thought maybe $150 - $200 buckss at most. Then they say they think it will sell for $3000. I bought spit up my Diet Coke.

That was ridiculous - my mouth dropped when I heard it. The people they were buying from looked as if they were trying to keep a straight face when selling to these guys. Worst. Pickers. Ever.

To me it doesn't make sense that they would drive from Michigan to Georgia to (possibly) make a few hundred dollars. They probably think they will get their own show. It doesn't seem to me they are experienced at picking. IMHO they have terrible personalities and aren't likable. I get the impression that Paul is aggrevated when they are on the show. I don't like when they are on AK, they just take away from the goings-on.

I'm with you Gop. I think they are planning on having their own show. I don't like them at all. They seem very shady, and I think they would sell their own mother for a buck. I hope they don't plan on having them on the show for the whole season! I also don't see the point of traveling from Michigan to Georgia to sell their junk, by the time they pay for travel and expenses I don't see how they can see that they made a profit. I saw an episode where they only made 50.00 the look on their faces told it all lol.

As I see these guys more often I can't help but think they stumbled into some serious money through inheritance or some such thing and wanted to try something they have interest in with no worries about fiscal failure. Like another poster said, why would you drive from MI to GA to try and make a few hundred bucks? As many times as I've seen them lose good money, something doesn't add up.

I am in the business and these guys are idiots, they pay way to much money and they call themselves pickers and they are not, they are buyer and resellers. BIG Difference, I am both and also do auctions and cleanouts.

They said the "R" on the British Naval Cutlass was Rex which was Greek for King when Rex is Latin for King. IF they cannot properly identify items, how can they properly appraise them?

I'd guess the producers of Auction Kings do have a series in mind for these two regardless of whether they "deserve" a show or not. Reality TV isn't about reality.

They just have time to fill so almost anybody can get a show.
