So ... why was this cancelled?

Low ratings?

Surely people were tuning in ... this show was an awesome supernatural drama.

I don't really understand why it was cancelled, it was a very original series, not something that we've seen a million times before :|

I guess it's just about the money or something :(

I believe it came down to The Fades, Being Human or Lip Service to get the axe. Balance of programming and popularity meant The Fades was surplus to requirements. Which is a shame.

I'm surprised Being Human wasn't cancelled, not as a good now that Aidan Turner and Russell Tovey have gone.

If I remember correctly BBC cancelled this due to money!! They decided to cancel the fades so they could give a bonus to its directors and managers .

And it just won the Bafta for best drama series! Total joke!

I very rarely watch uk drama and I live in the UK but the fades was an excellent show and well written.

I wish networks would just have faith that a superior show will gain more viewers once word gets around. I watched a few episodes of being human and gave up. This show I I really enoyed, though. trust in the bafta

So true!! They barely even let shows get their feet wet!! I also wish that they would see how many new audience members they get after a showing on Netflix, Amazon, and the like, and revamp them!! I know they have done that before but not enough clearly!!!!

Didn't this show win an award for Best Drama of 2012 in Britain? Are they like NBC here which cancels top ten rated shows?

Yeah,they fear quality and try hard to avoid it.
